Mekong was ill !!! Listen! She is crying quitetly.

Personally I really feel closed to Mekong river like she is our ancestor.
Main rivers in northeast of Thailand like Chi or Moon river flow down to Mekong, the biggest blood vessel .
From Tibet plateau, Mekong moves south.

Mekong flow down from sky or some time called the Silver Mount or Kailasa Mount where Manohra (an angel like half bird half human being creature) came from there. This is the tale we heard when we were young. Still be our classical dancing.

I alert every time when talking about Mekong. My memory about the songs related Mekong has never been erased even it had passed for years. I eager to visit the roof of Mekong or the land of Silver mount at least once upon my life.

From heaven feed millions of people.

Fortunately last year I went to Shangri-la, I 'd seen Yangzi, the longest river in large main land China.More over I also visit Sip-song-pan-na, the land of Dai (Tai) Lue native where I could talk to each other with brothers and sisters there without translation. Mekong lay down there, in the capital,  Chiang Rung (The city of dawn). It's the muddy Mekong and so poluted.Big port is under construction in Galanpa (Meng Ham or Muang Han).

From the map of Yunnan, I saw 3 rivers paraelly flow down. It looks like 3 dragons or 3 nagas moving down. One brother goes east while two younger brothers move south.
The middle brother is called Mekong. The Eldest brother is Yangzi and the youngest naga is Salween.

Three dragons built the prosperity in this region.
Actually they have another 6 brothers dragons altogether such as Ganges,Yamuna, BrahmaPuttra, etc.
Suddenly I was awaken and knew more about  my brothers who are from the same mother. Mother who is on Silver mount, Tibet.

Tibet, the world's roof or the third pole besides North and South pole.
I heard about the climate change there.Glacier become decreasing, permafrost reduced, grassland was chaged to be the mine, dam, industries, cities which made my brothers&sisters who are living there suffer now.
We requested so called modernisation or civilisation for decades. When it comes true, it hurt everybody, not only climate has changed but all related things, nature, animals, human being are in dangered.

My Japanese friend, Imoto  went to Chiangsaen and Chiangkong last July. He told about the boat sailing during Chiangsaen and China couldn't go back to China. In August my Khmer friend, Singh Gea accompanied with his wife and his lovely daughter carried the water wheel ,the traditional irrigating tool to present us. He said Mekong in Phnompen dried up, able to walk across in some places. ^_^

When the villagers in Pak Moon,Ubol rajadhani against with Pak Moon dam. I got the research about the diminishing of fauna species in Moon river after damming. Finally the villagers won by the sentence of court. The dam has to be opened. YE!!!
Hydro Power Plant to get electicity for big cities but...

I saw the map of damming in upper Mekong. It is uncountable. I also heard about damming project in lower Mekong both in Laos and Vietnam which support by China.
Damming still continue agreed with the authority from lower Mekong countries.

I'm recalled to the giant catfish, the biggest fresh water fish in the world who're living in Mekong.
How can they survive in such poluted water? How can they swim upstream and lay their eggs in upper Mekong? and How...How...and...Why...
Drought in summer but flood in rainy season.

Mekong was ill, quite serious ill.  How can she recover?
Who will answer this question?
My brothers- sisters in Tibet, China, Mianmar,Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam!  Where are you?

Did you hear our Mekong is crying painfully?
Listen ! Mekong is crying.
She's waiting for us.

How to recover our Mekong.
